Chevrons

For Christmas a lovely friend bought me the Chevron background stamp from Stampin Up! Yesterday I got to have a little play with it. I was very taken with SU's pre made chevron bags and thought I would have a go myself. I always have brown paper bags in the house for lunches, so I used these to make smaller, more delicate looking bags.
I stamped the background and then layered up stamped images from Papertrey Ink Rosie Posie and Rosie Posie additions sets. The dies cut images are from MFT. Sentiment from Flourishes (I think).
I made a matching tag to go with this bag, I used the Rosie Posie stamp again and a sentiment from PTI. The leave die is also PTI cut once in white card and again in Shimmery vellum. I got the idea from here, Debby Hughes makes some fantastic cards and crafty projects. Her personal blog is here.
For the last bag, I used the tag again (with a bow this time), flowers from my stash and I stamped the PTI large flourish, from the Fancy Flourishes set in Encore silver on the shimmery vellum.

I Love my box maker

I have recently purchased the box maker from We R Memory keepers and it has lived up to expectations. Here are a couple of boxes I have made.
I used SU Festive Flurry stamps and dies and Paper Trey ink tag and Merry Christmas die from Simon Says Stamp.

This one features some old Scenic Route (what happened to them?) paper which I still love. I have used the SU Festive Flurry dies again and Beautiful Bows from MFT.
Border die from Memory Box.

Christmas wrapping

I have started wrapping the first of the presents I have purchased. The bauble colour theme for our tree this year is silver, white, pink and purple - Holly's choice. So I have followed through with the wrap.

This one looks lovely in the right light, which unfortunately I failed to capture in this photo!

A new arrival

This little boy arrived last Friday and has been named Joffrey (Game of Thrones) by Holly. If you have watched the series you will know Joffrey is a nasty piece of work so I don't think it really suits this cutie! Here he is with his Mum.
He is extremely tall. These pictures were taken the day after he was born and it is hard to imagine his Mum was still carrying him yesterday. Mind you she had been spending a lot of time resting in the weeks running up to his birth, but who can blame her!
Settling down for a snooze in the sun.

A parcel for a friend

Here is a belated birthday parcel I made for my daughter to give to one of her friends. This is the second parcel I have wrapped using the hexagonal punch from Stampin Up! It is so useful for using up scraps of paper you have left over.

The scrap room transformation is complete

My wonderful hubby has spend the last few months building and installing custom made units for my scrapbook room and I couldn't be more delighted with the end result. The only thing I need to do to complete the job, is make the labels for the label holders to identify the contents of each drawer.
To see the whole room and the pictures of the transformation click on the "My scrap room" heading at the top of the page.
